Following is a listing of what is included in our Construction Drawings. Additional information can be found in Questions about our house plans and to view an example of our Construction Drawings please see Construction Drawings Example. We advise that you consult your local building offical to verify what you will need to submit for your building permit as additional information may be required for your area.
Study Sets include the Exterior Elevations and Floor Plan sheets only and not to be used for construction.
The Cover Sheet features an artist's renering of the Front Elevation.
Your house plans will include drawings of all the exterior sides of the house. The Front Elevation will be drawn at 1/4" = 1'-0" for scaling purposes and then all exterior elevations are drawn to scale at 1/8" = 1'-0" with notes refering to exterior materials, finishes, plate heights, roof pitches, and any other notes particular to the plan.
Floor plans are drawn at 1/4" = 1'-0" and include dimensions, ceiling heights, area calculations, plumbing fixture location, cabinetry layouts, wall plate heights, and specific notes about features and constrution. Doors and windows are referenced to their corresponding schedules.
Window, Door, and Room Schedules
For each schedule we include sizes for all windows and doors as well as identify room finishes, ceiling heights, and any other important aspects which need to be conveyed.
Interior elevations are drawn at 1/4" = 1'-0" and include cabinetry elevations for the kitchen, bathrooms, utility, closets, and other specific features particular to the plan.
Foundation Plan & Details
Foundation plans are for a monolithic slab foundation and are drawn at 1/4" = 1'-0". Included is the location of footings, grade beams, ribs, brick ledges, etc. Foundation details of these elements are also included and drawn at 3/4" = 1'=0"
Wall sections are drawn at 1" = 1'-0" and illustrate the various exterior wall types and their material composition from their footing to their rafters.
Electrical plans are drawn at 1/4" = 1'-0" and show the location of light fixtures, fans, switches, outlets, cable tv jacks, telephone jacks, thermostats, and smoke detectors.
General notes cover a wide range of construcion guidelines and standards to assist the owner and builder.
